You'll be Glad You
Did!
Day 1, Tuesday, June 22, 2010
Early morning departure from Fairfield Glade, Tennessee. We will travel the highways and byways of
beautiful Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois and Missouri for our first night’s stay in “The Gateway to the
West” - St. Louis. Our home away from home will be the historic Renaissance St. Louis Grand
Hotel, an architectural masterpiece just a short walk to upscale Washington Avenue restaurants,
entertainment and nightlife. This evening, you may want to take an optional tram tour to
the top of the Gateway Arch.
Day 2, Wednesday, June 23, 2010 (B, D)
After a full American breakfast buffet at our hotel, we embark on our “Discover St.
Louis” tour beginning with Laclede’s Landing, a nine block historic area named for the
founder of the city, showcasing century-old warehouses renovated to host popular nightspots and restaurants.
Before leaving the downtown area there is the oldest cathedral west of the Mississippi, and the Old
Courthouse where the Dred Scott case began its way through the legal system. Lunch will be at
St. Louis Union Station which was the largest station in the country when
it opened in 1894. Reopened in 1985 as an urban marketplace , it is now home to restaurants and stores and a perfect place for lunch on your own after a brief
tour of the complex. This afternoon, we’re off to Branson! Our hotel for the next three nights will be
the Radisson Branson, located in the heart of Branson. Dinner this evening is at Landry’s Seafood House before our first show with “zany”, “wacky” and
“all-around hilarious” Jim Stafford.
Day 3, Thursday, June 24, 2010 (B, D)
Today is jammed packed full of fun and entertainment! Following breakfast at The Wildwood
Bistro Café we begin the day with The Twelve Irish Tenors - twelve handsome, incredibly talented harmonizing
young men showcasing their exceptional harmonies, performing some of the greatest music of the 20th Century. No
visit to Br anson would be complete without a stroll through the original Downtown portion of Branson and a
stop in Dick’s Old-Time 5 & 10 - “One of the last of an American tradition!”
Get ready to set sail on the voyage of a lifetime aboard Table Rock
Lake’s Showboat Branson Belle! The two-hour cruise includes the fine dining of a
three-course meal and a Showstopping Production featuring over 50 musical numbers from Broadway to the big
screen and nationally-acclaimed comedian, Todd Oliver and his talking dogs.
Top the evening off with The Rankin Brothers and a stroll down memory lane - voted Best New Show for
2008.
Day 4, Friday, June 25, 2010 (B, D)
This morning we visit the Titanic...yes, they have built the Titanic in
Branson! The world’s largest Titanic Museum Attraction is a unique 90-minute
walk-through experience. Marvel at the giant ship built half-scale to the Titanic’s original size. A journey that begins when passengers board the ship through an
iceberg at the waters edge. Today, the great Titanic lives on. Upon entry each guest is handed a boarding pass
bearing the name of a Titanic passenger. The fate of this passenger will be revealed on the Memorial Wall. You
will walk an elegant replica of the Titanic’s Grand Staircase, touch the frozen surface of an iceberg, feel the
chill of that fateful “Starry Night”, view life onboard, see a First Class Stateroom and Third Class Cabin,
stand on the mighty ship’s bridge and hear the Captain’s commands. Try to send an SOS signal from the ship’s
wireless room and so much more….over 400 personal and private artifacts are on display.
This afternoon it’s off to visit The Hughes Brothers - not your typical vocal group. Their powerful
masculine voices have the ability to stun you to the core and send shivers up your spine. “A Great
American Family & Great American Music.” You’ve never seen so much talent in one single
family!
This evening’s farewell dinner is at Shorty Smalls at The Landing for “Good Food
and Big Fun!” Wait - we’re not done...one more show to go.
SIX will blow you away by their performance - there is no way you can pick a
favorite, as each of them is so talented and unique in their own way, but together they will take your breath
away. Branson needed something different and refreshing and they got it with SIX - their
show is exciting, full of so much talent, and leaves you wanting to see it again and again….
Day 5, Saturday, June 26,
2010 (B)
After breakfast in The Wildwood Bistro Café , we bid a fond farewell to Branson, Missouri as we depart for
home with many memories of our visit to “The Live Music Show Capital of the World.” As the folks
in Branson like to say: “Someone
you love is always playing in Branson…”
